Author Appearances
I love connecting with book lovers of all ages to discuss the writing journey. I've spoken at events across the country, including The National Book Festival, The Sonoma Authors Festival, School Library Journal's Middle Grade Magic, and several Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators conferences. I also enjoy chatting with smaller groups, too, like Scout troops and book clubs.

School Visits
A school talk is usually 45 minutes in length and best suited for students from the third through the sixth grade (ages 8-12). It features a Powerpoint presentation focusing on my path to publication and reflects my most current writing projects. It may also include an audience Q&A, reading, writing prompt or game. The virtual and in-person programs are identical.
I will stay after a visit or arrive early to sign books or send bookplates ahead of time (for virtual events). If you have a special request or area of emphasis, please let me know and I will work with you to tailor a talk to fit your needs. To get started, please reach out via the contact form below.

School Visit Fees
Virtual talk (45 min): $250 per presentation
(up to three presentations per day)
In-person talk (45 min): $500 per presentation
(up to three presentations per day) plus travel expenses outside the Seattle/Tacoma area.
