When it comes to weird inventions and secret formulas, nobody does
them better than fourth-grader, Scab McNally. In No Girls Allowed
(Dogs Okay), Scab is determined to get a dog, but must first prove
to his parents that he can handle the responsibility. And his twin
sister, Isabelle, is not helping. "No way should anyone who puts
cheese in my underwear drawer get a dog," says Isabelle. "In fact, I
don't think our parents know anything about this book. Moooom!"
Will Scab come up with a plan to get a dog? Of course, he will!
Whether it will work is something else. Published by Simon and
Schuster's Aladdin Books, No Girls Allowed (Dogs Okay) will be in
bookstores in February of 2009. But you don't have to wait that long.
